Winter in northern New Hampshire is, for the most part, long and cold. Although there are many opportunities to partake in a variety of winter sports, a particularly popular one in Jackson, NH is cross-country skiing.
I was in Jackson two weekends ago and stopped in to the Jackson Ski Touring Foundation, a cross-country ski area that has its base lodge in Jackson village and approximately 160 kilometers of track throughout the town.
I had a few questions. What were the ski conditions like? How’s the season been so far? Has xc skiing been affected by the recession? What’s the appeal?
